A Devil!

We set up an animal trap about a week ago when we lost two hens to a quoll on consecutive nights and we wanted to check that we had managed to stop up any gaps that the quoll might have been getting in, and look what we caught instead last night!
Devil

I found him before he had been there very long and we let him go on the driveway where I have seen devil footprints on a regular basis.  I’m SO pleased to see a healthy looking Tassie devil in our area.  With the facial tumour disease causing them to become endangered now, it is good to see they are still around our area.  Of course it may just be that he is too young to show the disease yet, but the more of them there are around the more chance there is that some resistant ones can build up a healthier population.
